Accessibility

Built mobile first and keyboard first. Here is specifically what that means.

What is in place

Every page here is checked with axe against WCAG 2.1 AA on each release, at phone width, and ships only at zero failures. That is a floor, not a guarantee — automated checks catch perhaps half of what matters.

  • Every control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
  • A skip link to the main content as the first thing in the tab order.
  • Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 against the background it sits on.
  • Real labels on every form field, and errors announced rather than only coloured.
  • Descriptive alternative text on product images, written per design.
  • All motion — including the flower wreath on the home page — stops when your system is set to reduce motion.
  • Page structure uses real headings and landmarks in order.

Known gaps

  • The image gallery scrolls sideways. It is reachable by keyboard, has previous and next buttons and announces which image you are on, but a horizontal rail is still more work than a grid.
  • Some product photographs are the seller’s original Etsy shots and are described generically rather than individually.
  • Stripe’s hosted checkout is outside this site’s control.

Tell us

If something here blocks you, say so and it gets fixed. A specific description of what failed is worth more than a standards reference.
